It is a dynamic combination of instrumentation and lyrics. The result is a memorable live show from The Fallen One.

Chris is on guitar. You can see the influence of Jimi Hendrix, HUM and Smashing Pumpkins on his music. Besides the music, Chris is into Kung Fu, springboard diving and bbq ribs - and perhaps not in that order. Chris is really a geek at heart; and we do know that geeks can rock.
Odell is a video games junkie who happens to play drums. He has a huge, eclectic music collection. It is what you would expect from a high school athlete, who played the clarinet. Odell started with a punk band and brings a huge following of fans to The Fallen One.
Rachael is on guitar. She is a huge music fan and keeps up with the local live bands. Listen to that voice and that phrasing. Raechel is unforgettable on stage.
“The Fallen One is a Washington, D.C.-based band keeping alive the swirling, layered guitar sound popularized over a decade ago by bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, The Pixies and the lesser-known but equally as talented Hum. This sound is the basis for the band’s recently-released debut album, Shadows…”

“The Fallen One is a band we have been excitedly waiting to get into the show for a very long time. It’s very hard melodic stuff and it’s even Harder Live, but we love it all. The most intriguing part of the band is the bass guitar, however. There isn’t one. It’s guitar, guitar, and drums, and they all play their hearts out. The Fallen One is unlike anything we have heard thus far. How long will it take for the world to catch on? And as an added bonus, we caught up with them for an interview during SXSW and they played a few “acoustic” songs for us as well. Just wait and that will all be up on the site.”
—Radio Mike, at SXSW Austin Texas, thefeveredbrainofradiomike.com (2005)
“The Fallen One, has no bass player. The rich, full sounds come exclusively from the twin guitars of Rachael and Chris and the drumming of Odell. Perhaps it’s not the beginning of a trend, but this particular power trio certainly makes it work”
